GSABAMBOO [+] fabric is considered one of the most sustainable modern fabric choices, especially compared to other synthetic fibers. Its production is much less expensive than that of organic cotton, while it avoids the extensive use of pesticides as is done in the production of non-organic cotton. Finally, it is extremely less intensive in use of chemicals compared to the production of polyester.
Recycled polyester is mainly made from recycled PET plastic, such as that contained in disposable plastic bottles or other polyester scraps.
After sorting various plastics from recycling bins, PET plastic is cleaned, processed and recycled into new recycled polyester fibers.
This way we give life to plastic waste, we reduce the consumption of virgin raw materials, we consume less water and energy. The new, recycled yarn has properties similar to virgin polyester. It is extremely durable, durable and can also be recycled.
